The Spread Eagle's 39 bedrooms and suits are all individually designed and decorated and many are furnished with antiques reflecting the history of the hotel. There are fascinating stories associated with some of the rooms, such as the White Room which has a secret passage reputedly used by fleeing smugglers and the Queen's Suite with it's unique feature, a wig closet that maybe the last one left in a hotel in England.
